Don't you love the party favors we got!! My cousin celebrated her son's 4th birthday party with a super hero theme. She went online and found these T-shirts. Each kid got a T-shirt with their initial on it and the eye mask. My mom and my sister made and sewed the capes on and we had a party full of super hero kiddos. At the party Sawyer wouldn't wear his mask..but once he got home with sissy it was all fun and games! It was sooo cute to see these two running around with their capes on. Thanks Camden for loving super hero's so much and for having a creative Mommy! What fun!

THE BIG REMODEL!
Ok...here we are....finally I feel as though I have got our family blog all caught up!! The only thing missing...our big amazing renovation!!! It's been a wee bit nutty here on the Sipes front. Our house has been tore UP for over a month now. We are living safe and sound in a tiny apartment out in our shop and as I mentioned before...the kids are doing awesome and the transition was smooth (thank goodness!) Here are just a few photos...with many more to come!

fun in May 2010!
Just a couple photo's of my loved ones. Its fun to watch them all grow...including the big dog! He is getting huge. There is so much going on in our world right now. The remodel has taken over our life. The kids have been so great about the whole process. We moved into "Maile girl's apartment" without a hiccup. If anything they have been sleeping better! Sawyer actually slept in his crib until 5:30 one morning...which is unheard of!
Thank you Maile and Sawyer for being such wonderful children. Mommy and Daddy love you forever and always....more than you will ever know.
Sawyer's turn...
Easter 2010
Happy Easter 2010! Our family gathered together with my cousins and their children and celebrated with food and a great egg hunt. The kids loved it! We were lucky enough to have Tanner with us on this day.
We tried for a group photos...there was one photo with the older kids and then a second photo was attempted with the younger kids. As you can see...Sawyer was in NO mood to sit on his sister's lap and take a picture (tooo funny!) The crazy thing is...if you look back to Easter of last year I swear I posted a picture of Maile crying that Sawyer was in her lap. Looks like the table has turned!

Arizona Vacay March 2010
At the end of March we made the long trek to Arizona to watch my brother in law Russell graduate from the police acadamy. We were beyond excited to get out of town! We loaded up our trailer and our two little babies for the adventure. There is something pretty cool about being on the road with your trailer. A safe place to eat and use the potty is pretty priceless!
One of our favorite things about going to AZ is seeing our family. We don't get to see our family in Arizona and Las Vegas as much as we would like. So to have us all in one place at the same time is great. Watching my kids play with their cousins awesome. It reminds me of my childhood and the cousins that I've always been so close with.
The purpose of our trip was to watch my brother in law's graduation. We were honored to be there and to watch him get his badge. It was a huge milestone for himself and his family and we couldn't be more proud of him.
Another vacation bonus? having family to take care of your kids so you can go on a quad ride with the love of your life...we had SO much fun!

March Madness 2010
March was a pretty full of adventures....we had dress up days...hot tub days...bbq's....our friends 1st birthday party...and a trip to Arizona (will do a second post about that trip!) here is just a highlight of some of the fun we had in March!
Our friends celebrated their sons first year of life! What a fun party! Richard got to hang out with some old friends from Hillcrest that he grew up with...great to see them all together!
Maile all dolled up in the "razzle dazzle" cape that her Auntie made her. Sawyer hamin it up in hot tub...such a water baby! Sawyer looking too cute in the tutu! he he he!

Pooh 2010
Sometimes the best pictures are taken when you least expect it. Bathtime has offered us many gems...but on this day I do believe that Sawyer stole the show. I love this photo of our sweet Pooh bear hunny boy. I know when he is all grown up...this picture will flood me with memories. I love you Sawyer boy...
Playhouse! 2010
Well...Daddy and I couldn't pass it up. An adorable playhouse sitting right at the front door of Costco...just screaming for us to take it home!! The kids were SUPER excited to help put it together. Thank you to my Father and my brother for spending 4 hours putting it together! This has brought hours and hours of fun to our household.
February 2010
looking back at February I ran into some favorite photos...the pictures of Maile and I were taken one afternoon sitting on the porch swing and making funny faces...she loves being a hambone and I couldn't be happier goofing off with her!
The pictures of Sawyer and Walter are a really sweet reminder of the bond between child and doggie. These two are the best of friends. Walter is really gentle and sweet with Sawyer. Often times we will find Sawyer just sitting with Walter...climbing on his back...and patting him on his head.
Valentine's Day 2010
Red Velvet cupcake faces!
This year our V-day was spent with the ones we love the most. Our babies! We decided to take the day and enjoy ourselves outdoors. We went to Nojqoui Falls (sp?) where the falls were overflowing! They were beautiful. Maile really enjoyed the little walk up through the forest...and we saw the biggest fluffiest St. Bernard on the way back down..made us happy!
After the falls we drove to look at the miniature horses in Santa Ynez. We weren't allowed to pet them...but watching them in action was fun for the kids.
We then went on to have a wonderful lunch at the Vineyard house...we sat outside enjoying the sun and the trees and the birds that kept the kids entertained so that we were able to have a peaceful and really enjoyable lunch out as a family.
After lunch we drove to Cachuma Lake and ventured out on roads that I didn't even know were there. We drove and drove...and after all that driving we then drove home. It was the most PERFECT Valentines Day...celebrating it with my loves.
