Pooh 2010

Sometimes the best pictures are taken when you least expect it. Bathtime has offered us many gems...but on this day I do believe that Sawyer stole the show. I love this photo of our sweet Pooh bear hunny boy. I know when he is all grown up...this picture will flood me with memories. I love you Sawyer boy...

Playhouse! 2010

Well...Daddy and I couldn't pass it up. An adorable playhouse sitting right at the front door of Costco...just screaming for us to take it home!! The kids were SUPER excited to help put it together. Thank you to my Father and my brother for spending 4 hours putting it together! This has brought hours and hours of fun to our household.

February 2010

looking back at February I ran into some favorite photos...the pictures of Maile and I were taken one afternoon sitting on the porch swing and making funny faces...she loves being a hambone and I couldn't be happier goofing off with her!
The pictures of Sawyer and Walter are a really sweet reminder of the bond between child and doggie. These two are the best of friends. Walter is really gentle and sweet with Sawyer. Often times we will find Sawyer just sitting with Walter...climbing on his back...and patting him on his head.

Valentine's Day 2010

Red Velvet cupcake faces!
This year our V-day was spent with the ones we love the most. Our babies! We decided to take the day and enjoy ourselves outdoors. We went to Nojqoui Falls (sp?) where the falls were overflowing! They were beautiful. Maile really enjoyed the little walk up through the forest...and we saw the biggest fluffiest St. Bernard on the way back down..made us happy!

After the falls we drove to look at the miniature horses in Santa Ynez. We weren't allowed to pet them...but watching them in action was fun for the kids.

We then went on to have a wonderful lunch at the Vineyard house...we sat outside enjoying the sun and the trees and the birds that kept the kids entertained so that we were able to have a peaceful and really enjoyable lunch out as a family.

After lunch we drove to Cachuma Lake and ventured out on roads that I didn't even know were there. We drove and drove...and after all that driving we then drove home. It was the most PERFECT Valentines Day...celebrating it with my loves.

Jan 2010 -- Happy 3rd Birthday Mailegirl!

My darling girl is 3! Maile at 3 years old is sooo much fun! She loves to sing and dance. Maile has the best imagination. She loves to read books. Maile really enjoys her gymnastics class and dance class that she takes once a week. She keeps us laughing and her spirit is the purest and sweetest. She is our little Angel baby.

I had a new outfit picked out for Maile's birthday party...but when she woke up from her nap she told me what she was going to wear...her TUTU!! I thought....why the heck not...its her birthday! She owned that birthday tutu...it sure didn't hold her back!

Mailegirl...you are so loved...everyone is dazzled by your sweetness. You are such a polite...kind...and fun little girl. You fill our hearts with love and adoration. Our world is a better place because of you...I am so excited to watch you learn and grow.
"M A I L E spells Mailegirl"
(yes...you can spell you own name baby!)

Jan 2010 -- Maile's 1st haircut!

So...Momma finally took the plunge....Maile had her 1st haircut!! For Christmas Daddy got Maile and I mani's, pedi's, and haircuts at our favorite salon The Cutting Edge. It was SOOO fun to be with Maile...to watch her get her nails and toes done and her first haircut. She sat like such an adult and ate it all up. She was such a big girl...I didn't realize that she would enjoy herself as much as she did. Sawyer was at home with Auntie..so it was all about Mailegirl. what fun we had!! I was almost teary as her sweet baby hair was cut. I made sure every snip was saved! (I know...silly Momma)

prepping for the cut!

the first cuts!! bye bye baby hair!

my lovely little lady...she is such a doll
she really enjoyed the manicure...she sat so still and so carefully as to not smudge. I was proud.

one of my favorite photos...I love these sweet hands...
